This course is designed to provide a better understanding of how the Department of Energy is committed to reducing America’s dependence on foreign oil and developing energy efficient technologies for buildings, homes, transportation, power systems and industry. The mission of the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE) is to strengthen America's energy security, environmental quality, and economic vitality in public-private partnerships. The U.S. Energy Policy and Conservation Act directs the Department of Energy (DOE) to establish minimum efficiency standards for various consumer products, including central air conditioners and central heat pumps. The history of 10 SEER and considerations to upgrade to 12 or 13 SEER. A New Minimum Efficiency Standard for 2006 and who will this affect? Advisory to Clients, sellers, buyers, builders, investors, and contractors. CE Requirements: MD - 1.5 Hours Elective Cost: Free
