CE MD - MD Legislative Update

A review of changes to the Mandatory Continuing Education Requirements and the new Team Law is provided. Changes to the Maryland Code of Ethics will b e reviewed. Timely Topics that include Handling earnest money deposits, Maryland’s Lead Poison Program, Buyer’s Right of Selection, Title Insurance and Non-resident sellers are discussed. Some of the newest additions to our contracts are covered including Criminal Activity and Sex Offenders, Protection of Homeowners in Foreclosure Act and Property Tax Notice Two disclosures: Seller’s Guide to Navigating a Short Sale and a Buyer’s Guide to a Short Sale are reviewed. A reminder is given of the correct steps for a listing agent and a buyer’s agent in handling the seller condition disclosure/disclaimer. Federal changes including the modifications to the HAMP and HAFA programs as well as the Risk Based Pricing Disclosure (RBPD) are covered. Class is concluded with suggestions on how to stay up-to-date.
This course will meet the Mandatory Legislative CE requirement.

Maryland - 3 Hours (A)
VIRTUAL REQUIREMENTS - Camera must remain on and in focus during the entire course.  Students must be in stationary location.
